We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how ImpactMatrix ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information through the ImpactMatrix website and Services, which facilitate needs-offers matching, logistics coordination, and AI-driven insights. By using the Services, you consent to these practices. We may update this Policy; check the "Effective Date" for changes. As a technology platform, we release all liabilities related to data use beyond our control.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information you provide (e.g., name, email, address, organization details, needs/offers listings, preferences) and usage data (e.g., IP address, browser, device) via cookies and similar technologies. Logistics details and AI interaction logs may be collected to enable Services.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the Services, match needs with offers, coordinate logistics, generate AI insights, send communications, and ensure security/compliance. We may use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics, research, or marketing (where permitted). We facilitate marketplace-like transactions and do not sell personal information.

Sharing Your Information

We share data with service providers (e.g., logistics partners), nonprofits, corporations, or as required by law. We do not sell personal information but may share it for operational purposes. International transfers use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

AI Assistant Connections (Claude, ChatGPT and others)

If you connect an AI assistant to your ImpactMatrix account, the assistant can read and, where you allow it, change data your own account can access, such as your profile, organization details, Needs, Offers, Gifts in Kind, supply listings, connection requests, shipments and deliveries. You choose the permissions on the consent screen and can disconnect at any time from Dashboard, AI Assistants.

  • We log each assistant action (tool used, time, result and a short summary) so you can review it. These logs are kept with your account data and follow the retention terms below.
  • We issue OAuth access and refresh tokens to the assistant. Tokens are stored hashed and are revoked when you disconnect.
  • Data returned to an assistant is processed by that assistant's provider under its own privacy policy. We do not sell this data and do not receive your conversation with the assistant, only the requests the assistant makes to ImpactMatrix.
  • Other organizations' personal contact details are removed from results sent to assistants.

Data Security and Retention

We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect data, but cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain data only as necessary for the purposes described or legal requirements, then delete or anonymize it.

Your Rights

You can access, update, correct, or delete your data by emailing [email protected]. Depending on your location, additional rights may apply (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

COPPA

  • Not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect their data.
  • If discovered, we will delete promptly. Parents/guardians can contact [email protected].
